Vote Sahrbeck for District Attorney - Divider top

Since becoming District Attorney, I have a proven record of initiating innovative programs that have provided smart and practical reforms to address root causes for bringing people into the criminal justice system, which helps reduce defendant recidivism, increases public safety and protects the community. I have worked with our community partners to divert people from the criminal justice system and connect individuals, both victims and defendants, with resources that address their needs.

I have worked with the recovery community and mental health providers recognizing the important connection between trauma and the criminal justice system. I have brought about a renewed focus on prosecuting domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault, while increasing community outreach to help our marginalized community and educate the community as a whole. I continue to support our local law enforcement and partnering with them in their important work.

I want to continue this progress, which is why I am asking for your support in my re-election in the Democratic Primary for Cumberland County District Attorney.

Cumberland County is not just my address — it’s my home. I was born in Portland and raised in Cape Elizabeth, graduating high school in 1998. After receiving a bachelors degree with focuses in Government and History from Connecticut College, I decided to attend law school. From the moment I stepped into American University’s Washington College of Law, I knew I wanted to become a prosecutor. Serving the public by representing victims and upholding justice has since been the guiding force in my professional career. The unique prosecutorial experience I’ve gained as a result over the past decade has primed me for leading the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office into its future.

My prosecutorial career throughout Maine and New England has given me firsthand exposure to the threats facing our community — and an invaluable, independent perspective on how to face them. We need an Experienced, Dedicated, And Independent Prosecutor to guide Cumberland County into its future.
